Tricia Waite

Age: 44

Owner / Broker at Elite Real Estate Experts

Pray, Play, Slay.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT BEING YOUR AGE?
I enjoy home life over being out and about. Even on vacation, I like movies and snuggles.

DO YOU LIKE BEING 40+?
I love every age. I feel 25, so I guess the answer is yes. I love being 44.

WHEN IN YOUR LIFE, SO FAR, HAVE YOU FELT MOST CONFIDENT, AND WHY?
I’m still not confident. Lol, life is a challenge every day, and I just wake up, and pray, slay, and hopefully play.

WHAT BRINGS YOU THE MOST JOY AT THIS AGE?
My family. They are my world. Watching them win is my heart.

WHAT IS YOUR SUPERPOWER?
Never giving up. I fail most days, at least at some level. Sometimes I cry, but I get up every day and thank God for my every being, and the fact that I get to live another day. I will fail, but I will never give up.

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?
My children, they are my world.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING YOU HAVE CHECKED OFF YOUR BUCKET LIST?
We finally had a seafood boil party last year, which was mostly with my amazing friends and family.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS?
Finding the balance between career, faith, family, marriage, personal goals, and growth.

WHAT IS A TRAIT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF?
I’m proud of my physical appearance, especially my eyelashes and legs from running. I’m proud of my sanity; I’m unbreakable.
And when it comes to my career, I’m proud of my perseverance.

WHAT HARDSHIPS HAVE YOU ENDURED THAT YOU FEEL HAVE MADE YOU STRONGER?
Teen pregnancy, single parenthood, divorce, watching loved ones struggle with addiction, starting over multiple times, having the sweetest baby girl be born with a disability, death, and poor business decisions. I’m still here.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF?
Nothing. I had to learn everything the hard way. And that has made me who I am.

DO YOU HAVE ANY WORDS OF WISDOM FOR YOUNGER WOMEN?
Get a life coach, it’s a game changer. Work out, eat healthily, attend church, be grateful every day, work hard, and play hard. Never give up.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO OR FAVORITE QUOTE?
Pray, Play, Slay.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13

WHAT DO YOU MOST VALUE IN YOUR FRIENDS?
Unconditional friendship, I always show up when I can. Always.

HOW DID YOU CHANGE OVER THE YEARS?
I stopped trying to please everyone else. It’s easy to lose yourself. We are all imperfect people just trying to survive in this world. What others do and how they act is all about them. It has nothing to do with me.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I would love to learn how to relax.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE FOR THE FUTURE GENERATIONS?
Less self-validation from social media. Don’t believe everything you read. Make your own goals, and don’t be afraid to fail. My biggest period of growth occurred during times of failure. In the end, it was a good thing, considering I failed so many times.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD?
Never give up. And make sure when you pray to God for the answers, you listen to Him. He will show you the truth, the light, and the way. Make sure you listen.
