“Just keep swimming.”
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT BEING YOUR AGE?
The confidence that comes from experience. I no longer feel the need to prove myself — I know who I am, what I bring, and what truly matters.
DO YOU LIKE BEING 40+?
It’s freeing and just a number. There’s peace in not chasing every expectation and joy in owning your own path.
WHEN IN YOUR LIFE, SO FAR, HAVE YOU FELT MOST CONFIDENT, AND WHY?
Confidence used to mean appearing like I had it all together — now it’s knowing I can handle it even when I don’t.
WHAT BRINGS YOU THE MOST JOY AT THIS AGE?
My family. Watching my boys grow into good young men and seeing the small pieces of our values show up in them — that’s pure joy.
WHAT IS YOUR SUPERPOWER?
Seeing people clearly — not just their words, but what’s underneath. I can read between the lines and meet people where they need support most, even when they can’t say it out loud.
WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?
Besides my family, building my clinic from the ground up — not just as a business, but as a place where people feel heard, cared for, and empowered.
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST EXTRAVAGANCE?
Time spent unplugged — no emails, no schedule, just peace and space to breathe. It feels like a luxury in today’s world. I like being in nature, not only to hunt, but also to have a bonfire and spend time with my family.
WHAT IS YOUR MOST TREASURED POSSESSION?
My faith and my family are the foundation of everything I’ve built — they give me strength, purpose, and the courage to keep showing up for others.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING YOU HAVE CHECKED OFF YOUR BUCKET LIST?
Aside from being a mom, I also own my own business. It was terrifying, but it turned out to be one of the most rewarding risks I’ve ever taken.
WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS?
Balance — a home full of laughter, work that fulfills me, and the freedom to say “no” when something doesn’t align.
WHAT IS A TRAIT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF?
I’ve learned to bend without breaking, and to grow through every challenge instead of around it.
WHAT HARDSHIPS HAVE YOU ENDURED THAT YOU FEEL HAVE MADE YOU STRONGER?
Loss, failure, exhaustion — all of it. I’ve had to rebuild from moments that tested me, but every hard season sharpened my empathy and deepened my strength.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF?
Don’t rush, stop trying to grow up so fast. The things that are meant for you won’t pass you by — and the things that fall apart are often clearing the way for something better.
DO YOU HAVE ANY WORDS OF WISDOM FOR YOUNGER WOMEN?
Stop apologizing for your strength. You can be kind and direct, loving and firm, soft and still powerful. The world needs women who can do both.
WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO OR FAVORITE QUOTE?
All I hear is Dori’s “Just keep swimming.” Haha! For me, Philippians 4:13 isn’t about getting everything we want; it’s about having the strength to endure whatever comes. Faith gives me peace to keep going, even when the result looks different from what I expected.
WHAT DO YOU MOST VALUE IN YOUR FRIENDS?
Honesty, humor, and loyalty. I don’t need perfect — I need real.
HOW DID YOU CHANGE OVER THE YEARS?
Ha, don’t ask my husband this, Lol! I’ve learned to let go of perfection and embrace purpose instead. I’ve stopped trying to please everyone and focused on what feels aligned and genuine.
IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I’d give myself more grace. I’m great at encouraging others, but I can be my own hardest critic.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE FOR THE FUTURE GENERATIONS?
I hope future generations find their way back to faith, purpose, and genuine connection. Technology is powerful, but it can’t replace humanity — kindness, humility, and real presence. I hope that they remember to look up, talk to people, and build their lives around faith and relationships that truly matter.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD?
Forty isn’t a finish line; it’s a turning point. This chapter is about growth with grace — and realizing that we can rewrite our stories at any age.
